Pastor Luida G. Johnson

In 1978, Pastor Johnson was preparing to go to church when she heard the voice of the Lord say, “I want you to pastor. Teach my word and its application to battered, abused, bruised, wounded and rejected people who are so scarred, tattered and discouraged that the visible value of ministry potential is not seen by others and not known to themselves, BUT I WILL SHOW YOU. Take them by the hand and create an environment for them to have successful experiences in ministry and victorious Christian living. (Isaiah 61:13, Luke 4:18-19).

”In obedience to this call, she began preaching in her home.  The Lord told her that he would send the people and use her to heal his children’s hearts so that they would live and not die.  Thus in July 1978, the Shabach Christian Fellowship Interdenominational Church was formed. Pastor Johnson has not ceased to preach and teach the gospel amid many obstacles. She has been a featured speaker for many chapters of Women’s Aglow Fellowship, Women of the Word conventions and retreats, and other organizations and fellowships promoting the Gospel of Jesus Christ for the over 30 years. As a pastor in the Los Angeles South Coast District, Pastor Johnson has been appointed as a member of the Advisory Board to the District Supervisor, serving as a Superintendent and Coordinator of Pastoral Care.

​Pastor Johnson graduated from California State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in Elementary Education and Speech/Rhetorical Theory. Receiving a Life Teaching Credential from the California State Department of Education she was employed by the Los Angeles Unified School District for 15 years as an elementary teacher, with special assignments in various pilot programs.  Pastor Luida Grady Johnson is mother of two daughters. She has four grandsons and six great-grandchildren.  Pastor Luida is a Pastor to many.
